Windows 10: How does ram affect fps?

Hi my laptop has a intel celeron 1017u.

I self upgraded my laptops ram and internal hdd to ssd.

The ram used to be 4gb1x 4gb stick, ddr3 and it is now 12gb1x 8gb ram, 1x4gb ram i already know that using these two sticks will not have any issues, as they have the same specs, name, the only difference is that i have 8gb instead of 4 on o e of the sticks, and i have performdd many ram speed tests on the two sticks, same speed.

I have not tested this question myself, as i already recently added the extra ram, and a new wifi chip.

The ssd is a cheap sata 3 kingston a400 240gb ssd.

So how would this compare in rocket league or something else like minecraft java witb 5-6gb ram allocated? fps wise with all my windows os performance improvements?

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

 

To RAM or not to RAM...

Hey genesis what hardware have you bought, you might be able to save on the ram and step up the rest of the hardware a little...

Or you could go out on the town as suggested... *Big Grin
