Windows 10: How does windows 10 home handle multiple internet connections?

Hi all,


For reasons I won't go int here, I have 2 connections to the internet. An ADSL that I connect to via WiFi and a mobile cell router that is connected with a network cable. Until the latest patch, windows would use either the ADSL OR the mobile but now it appears to be able to combine both connections. I was downloading a game from epic game store and noticed it was reporting 4.5Mb/s - a speed I've never seen before - so opened task manager and saw the ADSL at a steady 8.8mb/s and the Ethernet LAN around 25 - 30mb/s with no other processes using the internet.


My question is: Could someone please explain how this works with regard to IP addresses and VPN use?

Upgrading to Windows 10 from windows 7 and losing internet connection

A couple of days ago I upgraded my desktop to windows 10 after getting one of those MS prompts. However now I cannot access the internet and suspect the drivers from the Gigabyte GA-MA790X-ud4 motherboard does not support the internet drivers required. Searching the manufacturers website has not given me any joy either. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

 

Slow Internet Connection Can't Handle Windows 10 Update

Thank you for the suggestions. My Internet connection has a max download speed of 5mbps. It simply doesn't handle multiple simultaneous downloads even in the most optimal scenario.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
