  1. How does windows determine if a driver is appropriate for a device

I'm trying to install a device driver on windows 10 and windows keeps saying that "Windows could not find drivers for your device".What exactly is it looking for?I am working for the manufacturer, trying to get a driver working that no one understands. It is the appropriate driver for the device. How does windows determine that the driver that I am trying to install is, or is not, appropriate for the device? Is there a string somewhere? Some code? What exactly is it looking at/for?

    :)

Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7 & 8 (With Dolby Digital Live and DTS Interactive)

DTS supported natively by Windows 8/8.1 and it should work on windows 10 too just DDL require to unlock your driver .
