How does windows indicate it has completed start-up?

I don't have a current problem with start up speed win10-1909. But circumstances suggest I'm being too fast with log-in and use it operations for one or more applications. If I slow it down a bit - like wait about 20 sec after the annotations appear in the lock screen to log-in, and a further 10-15 sec after log-in to start doing anything - the affected apps all work fine.

I've reviewed various docs and cleaned up the start menu. Asked questions about this to a range of forums - but no one seems to know the answer: at least no one has been willing to answer. So I'm asking again, in a more simple query.

So, just how does windows indicate to a user that it has properly started and is ready for work????

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond How does windows indicate it has completed start-up? :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
