Windows 10: How does Windows store desktop images?

I had a corrupted hard drive, so I removed it, installed Windows onto an external hard drive, and am not running a fresh install of windows 10 from a formatted hard drive. When I logged in, by desktop wallpapers are still there. They cycle on a timer, and display settings say they’re being pulled from my old ‘desktop backgrounds’ folder. . . . This is a new, empty hard drive, and I can’t find that folder or the files anywhere in my storage. How is it saving and using my old wallpapers?

Store not showing images and text

Hi Daniel,

Damaged system files and language compatibility are one of the reasons why the images and texts on the Windows Store apps are not showing. We suggest following the steps below to run Windows Store Apps troubleshooter:

• Open Control Panel.
• Click on System and Security.
• Under Security and Maintenance, click on Troubleshoot common computer problems.
• Under Find and fix other problems, click on Windows Store Apps and click on the
  Run the troubleshooter button.

What is the error message you get when you try to access Store ,Camera, Alarm ,Calculator apps?

I suggest you to reset Windows Store cache and check. Follow the steps:

• 
  On the desktop screen, press
  Windows key and R to open run box.
  
• 
  Type WSReset.exe and hit
  Enter.
