Windows 10: How easy is it to disable new features as 99% of them are of no use or interest to me and I...

I need to purchase windows 11 to use other software. I currently have a machine running windows 10 and it took me ages to disable or uninstall many of the 'features'.Am I going to have to again spend weeks / months setting things so they are easy for me to use and redo it all after each update?I just need to know so I can allocate loads of extra time to do what now takes a reasonable amou t of time and effort. This is not a spurious moan but a serious question as I need to purchase in the next couple of days.

Easy enable/disable microphone?

My bro just got a microphone and I was wondering if there's an easy way to enable or disable it. I know you can right click on the volume icon, click on select recording devices then select the microphone, then click properties, then click on levels, and mute it - but that's just way too many steps, I'm looking for a more obvious and much easier way to do it.

 

Windows 10 update stall at 99%

When you say 'update to Windows 10 stalling at 99%' are you referring to upgrade to Windows 10 is stuck or unable to update Windows to different builds?

If your upgrade to Windows 10 Is stuck at 99% then refer the link below suggested by

• Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.
