How can I use the weather widget without getting shown red numbers as notifications for breaking news stories?

As of now there is no way to get rid of just the news or news notifications in News & Interests widget, just minimize the news or turn it off altogether.

If you want to add your voice to the growing list who want this flexibility included then you may be able to help Microsoft improve this product/experience by using the Feedback Hub in Start Menu, especially if you are comfortable with sharing relevant data and screen recordings. Microsoft developers DO read feedback from customers that comes in via the Feedback Hub, so that is a great way to share your thoughts on how to better serve you as a customer.

Social and reader widgets don´t close wifi/3g connections....

Hello.

Since a few days (don´t know exactly from when) every time i use the social or reader widgets, i must close the connection by hand because when i close session, the connection is still alive for ever...

I´m on Anna
