Windows 10: How fix my labtop that is now wifi disabled from the time when it was online before i...

I went to serviceslocal and was stopping & disabling services I didnt need for my labtop. I found WLAN Autoconfig Service and stopped it and disabled it. Me thinking it just means it auto connects to wifi networks within range. Me thinking I didnt need it when i could just connect to a network manually. After then shutdownin my labtop, I turned it on. Shows bluescreen, i tried to reset it says try again later. And bascially I cant even get to the windows homepage. And I can only do offline things. is there a way for me to reset WLAN Autoconfig Service to deafult settings offline in comma

Can't connect to wifi after Windows Update

I tried all the steps you suggested, but those steps did not fix it.

Then I tried the clean boot for, by disabling everything in startup and disabling all services in system configuration. Upon restarting, my wifi features actually worked. I could connect to wifi, like I was supposed to.

But then when I followed the steps listed to isolate the service that may be causing the problem, by systematically starting the services and restarting each time, to find out which one results in disabling my wifi connection, my wifi connection hasn't returned,
even after disabling every service again. I have tried repeatedly to recreate the conditions that resulted in my wifi connection working that first time that I tried the clean boot, but I have been unable to do so. Now, even with all services disabled, it
still can't connect to wifi. I don't know why it worked that one time, but hasn't worked since, even though I've tried disabling all services again, just like I did that first time.

I have used this method to restore my laptop wifi, but this is a workaround, not a fix for an obvious software glitch. THree times in 12 hours since upgrading to Win10...the problem is not the laptop but the OS. 'restart' to restore wifi, that was working fine five minutes ago, is not a solution to an obviously known bug.

I've read the stuff about VPNs, never had anything like it installed on my laptop. Seems like a lot of hot air and not a lot of fixes to a known and well reported problem.

 

WiFi adapter disables itself

Sorry, but that does not solve the problem. Here's the condition, any suggestions?

Asus and HP laptops upgraded to Win 10 August 2015, both using anniversary edition version 1607, 64 bit, installed on 8-24-16. All of the fixes suggest have been tried and do not work. A/V is Norton Security.

• WiFi adapter disables itself and will not allow it to be re-enabled. Troubleshoot will not fix and restart is required.
  But Restart hangs and takes 30+ min. (90 min. 1-8) to complete or a forced shutdown by physically turning off the PC is needed to resolve.
  Can cause Edge to fail to find web pages after restart.
  • Asus last occurred: 12-25-16, 12-14, numerous dates since August 2015.
    Happened occasionally while on Win 8.1
  • HP last occurred: 1-8, 1-6, 1-1, 12-27-16, 12-14, numerous dates since August 2015. Never happened while on Win 7.
