    How harmful is browser extension 'my social shortcut' (developed by MyWay)?


    This browser extension appeared on my Google Chrome Browser quite some time ago. I recall it appearing random one day when I opened Chrome. I just figured it was part of an update or something. This impact of this extension was a new toolbar appeared and every time I opened a new tab it would take me to the my social shortcut homepage. Other than that, I didn't notice anything different.

    However, I was shocked to recently discover that this extension is actually considered a virus and as malware?

    Has anyone else on this sub had any experiences with this extension or have any knowledge. I have since disabled it but I am kind of worried as this is the browser I always use. I have accessed all my social media accounts etc on this browser and at times entered my bank details when shopping online.
