Windows 10: How is it that diskpart was able to detail a missing disk and select it's volume?

I have two old disks that where from an old win7 media pc that where formatted as dynamic disks, that I moved into a new pc with win11 installed.Both of those disks never came online after being moved so I ran the following commands with these results I've put on Pastebin to not clutter this page since I couldn't figure out how to insert a codeblockWhy was I able to see the disk volume, then delete it, but then not be able to convert it back to a basic disk?Further more, how do I get these two disks converted back into basic disks?

diskpart doesn't show disk

Hey,

I am trying to install Win10 on a mac book air.

However the diskpart does not list the disk even after reformatting the partition as NTFS per suggestion.

read through this solution but cannot move to step 1 listed in the solution by Ivan as that disk doesn't see that partition it was just able to reformat.

Diskpart finds disk but not volume of main disk

Hope you can help. Thanks in advance. A wee ago I got the BSOD and when my pc restarted it didn't find windows. No recovery options, nothing but asking for a boot disk. After a long search in the web I decided to run the Windows Recovery Tool, open cmd sith shift+f10 and use diskpart. The thing is diskpart finds my disk, but no volume, so I am afraid to allocate a partition and lose my data. Any advice? diskpart text2.txt

type in list volume..... your array volume should come up.... if so

type in Select volume 7
assign



let me know if your volume is not there.
