How is there a virus if the file that contains it isn’t even on my pc?

I was downloading a file from a sketchy website and google canceled the download because it contained a virus it said “Failed • Virus Detected” and then my microsoft defender said that it found threats and the virus was a trojan I don’t remember it’s name but it was something that’s name was “c!ml” the defender failed to remove it but it told me it’s location. When I checked where it was, the file wasn’t there even when I ticked show hidden items so my point is if google canceled the download and the files that contains the virus isn’t on my pc, am I safe?

    :)

  2. Printer isn´t working after latest update.

After the latest update from Windows, my Canon Pixma ip6600 printer isnt working. In Device Manager it shows up as working properly but when I go to print it isn´t listed as an option in any programs. Troubleshoot suggests it´s a USB 2 printer on a USB
3 port and that that´s the problem but that cant be since it worked fine before the update. I´ve tried to uninstall and plug it back in but that doesn´t work either.

    Cortana isn´t working

When I hit enter, it did something, but there´s still no Cortana, even after restart. So I tried it again, but now it says that it failed, because it´s already installed and it´s working in PC. So it should work, but Cortana still isn´t here.

How is there a virus if the file that contains it isn’t even on my pc?

What is the Container folder and why is it missing?

They have 5 steps listed? Can you not get the files they mention in step 5? I can't tell if Containers is the name of a Windows file or just an internal reference or what.
