Windows 10: How long is the "collecting Information" stage supposed to last.

Hello, I decided to do a fresh install of Windows on my SSD and chose windows 10 Pro N as the OS. I'm currently on the "windows setup screen" and deleted all the partitions on my SSD, so all that's left on there is "Drive 0 Unallocated Space". I then selected the "Drive 0 Unallocated Space" and it's been on this screen see imaged attached for nearly an hour. The cursor moves but I can't click anything on the screen and the "next" button is greyed out and the mouse cursor is displaying an hour glass. Is this normal, how long does this stage of the install usually take?

windows 7 hangs up during the collecting information stage

I'm trying to upgrade from Vista to Windows 7,but can't get past the searching for updates stage of collecting information. The program runs for hours apparently not doing anything. I followed all the requirements from the Upgrade Advisor,disabled all
AV programs,even tried doing a clean boot,but I still can't get the upgrade to work.
