How long should Windows Event Log continue?

Hello. How long should Service Host: Windows Event Log and Service Host: Local System last, once they start working? In my case, it's been more than 12 hours and they are still ongoing with no signs of slowing down or stopping.I'm not asking how to reduce CPU usage, but how long the processes should continue and when they will stop. Here is a photo of Windows Task Manager: https://i.imgur.com/q6O5Pbd.jpgThe same two processes in the same order have been ongoing for more than 12 hours. If left unchecked, unstopped, will they cause any harm to the SSD, since they cause 25MB di

    Events 4672 & 4624 Win 10 Freezes - special LOGON ?

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

    1. Are you on a domain network?
    2. May I know the make and the model number of your system?

The event logs you have provided seems to be the security logs that is generated when you login to your system. For more information on the event that was generated, you can check
4672(S): Special privileges assigned to new logon.

The Windows error logs will be located at Event Viewer > Windows Logs > System.

Please follow the step below and check if it works for you.

    Step: Improve Windows 10 Performance.

Try some of the following suggestions to help
make your Windows 10 PC run better
. The steps are listed in order, so start with the first one, see if that fixes the problem, and then continue to the next one if it doesn’t.

Note: The last step on the article contains Windows Reset, I suggest you not to perform Windows reset, as there is a change your data and applications will be wiped and also
the OS will reverted back to previous version you upgraded from.

If the issue still persists, please reply to this post with more information so that we can identify the root cause of this issue and assist you further.

    Hope it helps.

Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. Event ID 4101.

I followed the steps as suggested, but unfortunately, the issue continues to occur, with the same errors in the event log as I first described. I would appreciate any additional suggestions.

How long should Windows Event Log continue?

    Windows Vista Tech Support

Go to the control panel, go to Administrative Tools, then Event Viewer. UAC will jump in asking for permission to continue, grant it.

Let it load - in the middle of the window you'll get a list of all the logged events... Critical, Error, Warning, Information, Audit Success and Audit Failure.

Don't get worried at how many errors/warnings you've got - every little thing seems to get listed in Vista - i've recorded 60,000 errors in the 3 months i've been on Vista!

Just look around for anything logged around the time you get the crashes... or if your feeling daring, crash it, reboot and look at the latest logs.
