Windows 10: How long to wait for windows 11 update restart?

How long to wait for windows 11 update restart? I did not check to see what was updating I usually do, but it said 4 mins to complete - after 30 mins it is still restarting. How long does one wait?

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Did you get the notification to upgrade to Windows 10?

We recommend waiting for your upgrade. You will see a notification when it is ready. As long as the Get Windows 10 app says that it is coming, then you should be getting a notification when your upgrade is ready.

Step 5. Reboot PC.

Step 6. Open Command Prompt as admin & type this command "wuauclt.exe /updatenow"

Step 7. Go to Windows Update & ideally you should see the download begin, if you don't see the Windows Update download coming in educate customer to wait for 24-48 hrs.
