Windows 10: How make sure KB5043145 download does not get installed with future updates

KB5043145 was downloaded, but not installed on my computer, before I saw the articles concerning the difficulties it is causing. I have paused updates for 2 weeks, which I hope will prevent KB5043145 from installing, even though it is downloaded. Assuming it does prevent installation now, what happens when I resume future updates? Is KB5043145 going to go ahead and install ahead of other updates and cause problems? What do I from hereon to get updates without being affected by the problems of this downloaded defective update? Thank you.

Installing update after downloading it through Microsoft Update Catalog

There is no need to install update separately it will be automatically installed when you download the update, I suggest you to go to Control panel and check whether the update is installed are not.

Follow the steps to check for Update.

  Click on View installed updates.
  
• 
  Check for the Update in the list.

your suggestion worked. I deleted the information in the download cached and when I started the pc this p.m. there were no updates needed to be installed.
I would also like to thank Frick and Kursah for helping me. Even though their ideas did not fix my update issue, their information they gave me will help me in the future of things to check in the process of elimination.
