  3. My PC has a dual core processor and only uses one core. Enabling use of both causes a BSOD

Max CPU is supposed to be unchecked in MSConfig.

Care to be more specific about the issue?

how many core a one Windows 10 App uses from MS Store uses from CPU ?

It depends how much the OS needs for any given time. Most times during a download if nothing else is using CPU cycles. Windows will barely ask much from the CPU.

That dialog is used to restrict the app to only certain cores, if for some reason you want to do that. For instance, suppose you want to ensure that a given app runs on only a single core (because it has multi-processing bugs that show up with multiple cores, for instance). Or, suppose you wanted to run a very CPU intensive application like a transcoder, but wanted to make sure you had some cores available for other stuff you can limit the number of cores it can use.

In general, an app only uses one thread, unless it's designed to be multi-threaded. It may run on any core, but it's not generally going to run on all of them simultaneously.

  6. I got it

windows store apps are so light weight on cpu load , more battery saver more time
but I think as a Gamer , all apps in the world must use all Cores-thread and go smoother

There are some games that benefit from multiple cores. Most do not, however.

Typically you don't need to mess with this setting. Only when you know why you need to use it, should you actually use it.
