Windows 10: How many times can you fat finger Bitlocker recovery key?

We are rolling out bitlocker to our enterprise and was asked this question: "How many times can a person mistype the recovery key?" I was not able to find a definite answer and was hoping someone from Microsoft could clear this up. Not to be confused with PIN, I am asking about the Bitlocker Recovery Key and how many times a person can mistype the key before something happens, if anything.Thanks

What puzzles me is why the Bitlocker recovery key is not listed on the microsoft account, but there is a recovery key listed there for a computer I do not recognise.

I have several laptops but only the HP Envy has had Bitlocker on it. So what key is this on my account? And why isn't the Envy key there?
