  1. How might I find out what app is crashing in the event viewer in Windows 10?

I have windows 10 22H2 64 bit. recently the system has become slow. I cannot update it yet as there is external network maintenance also causing a slow network. Yet the system is intermittently slow as well mainly explorer, but sometimes opening programs from the task manager.I have found that the Event Viewer shows that an application that is crashing. I am aware that there is a specific program that has services crashing, and I have reached out to the manufacturer in regards to that. However, I have seen this error recently:Fault bucket 2080988613161332847, type 1Event&

    Event Viewer (MCC.exe) crashes 'System.IO.IOException'

Now listed as a known issue for ALL versions of Windows 7/8/10 after June updates:

I suggest you re-install the video driver. I'll add a few words of explanation about Event viewer in a moment. They won't affect the need to reinstall that driver as your first step. Denis

How might I find out what app is crashing in the event viewer in Windows 10?

    Event Viewer (MCC.exe) crashes 'System.IO.IOException'

I'm afraid this is another Windows 1903 bug (current ver 1836.175) as it is reproducible on every (?) PC.

    • run Event Viewer
    • click 'Create Custom View' on the right panel
    • create for example a filter for System, events 6005, 6006, give it a name and save it:

    • then click on the left tree "Custom Views" and an mcc.exe crash will occur *Confused reporting a IO error reading "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Event Viewer\Views\View_0.xml"

    P.S.
To roll-back you can from an admin prompt:
