Windows 10: How much does the pointer speed setting scale the speed by in windows 10?

I need to know how exactly the pointer speed slider setting works. According to this website: https://www.overclock.net/forum/375-mice/173255-cs-s-mouse-optimization-guide.html, it scales the mouse dpi by the following values depending on your setting:

1. 0.03125
2. 0.0625
3. 0.25
4. 0.5
5. 0.75
6. 1.
7. 1.5
8. 2.
9. 2.5
10. 3.
11. 3.5

However, through my own testing I've found that this is no longer accurate so I am guessing that it was changed as this is from 2007. What I am thereby asking for is an updated list that works with widows 10.

Click and drag keeps speeding up on touchpad

Do you face this issue while moving the mouse cursor normally on the desktop screen?

If yes, I suggest you to follow the below steps in order to slow down the mouse cursor speed.

• Go to control panel.
• Click on mouse.
• under pointers options tab adjust the pointer speed, click

Display scaling also increasing pointer speed? Can I disable this?


Have you tried control panel > mouse > pointer options > uncheck enhance pointer precision? I do this to force the mouse to normal speeds at all times and I'm using 150% scaling on my laptop screen.
