Windows 10: How Much free space should a 1.5 GB Microsoft Security patch takes to run ?

Hello All,I was wondering if someone could tell that how much space should a Microsoft Security patch take to run in Win10 device.In my environment, for a 1.5 GB patch file, it is taking close to 5GB space to run that security update. The patch usually runs for 10-15 minutes and after completion the space gets to the earlier stage.Please find one sample. The patch is running, and the earlier memory was 5GB, but now it has came to 1MBPlease suggest whether this it is normal or should we consider it as an issue ?RegardsAditya PorwalContact : *** Email address is removed for privacy ***

Huge Flaw in IE: Microsoft scrambles to make patch

Today, Security firm Secunia announced that there was a security hole in Microsoft's Internet Explorer. This hole could allow hackers to gain control of users' computers and turn them into zombies that send out spam, or corrupt thier hard drive. Microsoft is quickly trying to make a patch for this issue, but until then they are suggesting that people use Firefox. Yes, you heard right. They are suggesting people to use Firefox.

Microsoft Edge TLS Security

After trying everything (not a lot of steps) listed in the Microsoft Edge support site, I did a wider search and found this very simple youtube video that fixed it immediately:

For those who prefer not to click links the steps are simple:

1. Click in the Cortana search bar next to the Win 10 Start button

2. Type internet options

3. Select internet options (control panel) from the list

4. Click on the advanced tab

5. Scroll down to the security section

6. Make sure the following are all clicked:
Use SSL 3.0
Use TLS 1.0
Use TLS 1.1
Use TLS 1.2

7. Click apply

8. Refresh the page that was giving the error and it should now connect.

Hope this helps, it was a 30 second fix after hours of pounding my head against the error with the Support site suggestions.

 

Can't uninstall Windows games . Space running low

Thanks a lot for your help.

1. I took system restore as suggested .
2. Took ownership and deleted 2 folders of same game ( ~ 5..5 GB ).
3. Too many registries got listed so I was really afraid to delete anything. Left it as is.
4. Decided to restart the PC to see any issues. Nothing wrong happened.

Planning to delete the games one by one as I need space. I don't know if all of them will be smooth to delete in terms of registry left as is.
