    How much hard drive space do additional user profiles occupy in Win10 Pro?


    I'm building a new PC and will be using it for business and pleasure and want to create a second MS profile for the business side and have it on the same rig. I'm curious, apart from files I save myself through downloads or "my documents" etc... how much space does Windows need to allocate for a second or even third user profile? Also, can my Steam library be accessed by both profiles if on the same drive? I figure to keep my top 2-4 games on the OS drive and have another larger drive for more of the Steam library I'm sure both profiles can commonly share.

    Hard Drive Space Missing

    Hi,

    It is possible that hard drive space was missing due to a corrupted file system. To better assist you, kindly answer the following questions:

    • Have you made any recent changes prior to this issue?
    • Have you tried deleting temporary files?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far aside from checked the hidden files?

    3gb space occupied in empty drives

    3gb space occupied in empty drives if I format it then it is only 107 MB but after some time again it becomes 3 - 4 gb occupied i have enabled show hidden files and folders also but there are no hidden files or folders.

    I have taken a screenshot of the same

    Both drive D and E are showing same 3-4 GB occupied

    How to move the user profile folder to an external hard drive


    *Confused I found a Windows 10 Forums article online about how to move the Users profile folder to an external drive, but it was not something easily understood by a not-too-techie user.

    If there are some easy to follow step-by-step instructions on how to do this for a recently upgraded Windows 10 (not Windows Professional or Windows Enterprise) OS, I would be happy to get them.
