Windows 10: How often should Registry.Pol be updating?

    How often should Registry.Pol be updating?


    Can someone please explain why and how often Registry.Pol should be updating? From other forums I've seen, that file should have current modified dates every day. In my environment, every Registry.Pol file is at least 6 months old and in the file, it starts with "PReg" which is apparently a sign that the file is corrupted.I'm trying to determine if I need to blow away this file on all 800+ computers.

    Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

    Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
