  1. How on earth do I set my PC to always use my GPU and not the intel graphics

Every game I install, every thing I do it always launches it with the intel graphics. I know I can fucking set every individual app but at *some* spot in the OS it decides 'huh i want to run this huge app with the CPU thank you'. Where is this spot and how can I set it to the GPU as preffered option? It is extremely frustrating to do it individually ESPECIALLY BECAUSE MY PC IS SET TO HIGH PERFORMANCE god this is frustrating me rn

So I set my Emulator, Dolphin (For Gamecube and Wii) to high performance, but I still have 0% GPU usage according to the XBox overlay that checks my GPU and Task Manager tells my my GPU is at 80-100%. Idk how to proceed from here tbh

  2. Selecting GPU over Intel Internal Graphics

I have a Windows 10 PC with an Intel integrated graphics as well as a dedicated GPU.

My display is connected to the GPU but when I boot the PC I get a "No Signal" error message. It eventually goes away and I see the log in screen.

The issue comes when I want to access the BIOS. If I press F2 to access the BIOS I continue getting the black screen, if I then plug in a monitor to the motherboard VGA I can see the BIOS settings but it will not display through the GPU.

In Windows I have disabled the "Generic" Display which the Intel Graphics connects to, I have uninstalled Intel Graphics and have selected to only have the computer display on Display 2. But it still says there are two displays even when only one is connected.

How can I bypass the Intel Graphics entirely and just have the dedicated GPU be used?

I have an adapter plate which means all the plugs from the GPU and motherboard are plugged in and extended but no display is connected to the extender to the motherboard.

    Cheers for your help!

  3. Enable Intel HD Graphics and NVIDIA GPU automatically on Desktop

    Hi,

I just upgraded my desktop with the following config:

    Intel i5 7400 CPU,

    NVIDIA GeForce 1050,

    Win 10x64,

    etc.

So obviously I have two display ports - one coming from inbuilt Intel HD 630 graphics, and one from my NVIDIA GPU. And for me, only one at a time seems to be working. This seems to be reasonable, however, I read somewhere that application warranting more graphics
power will automatically trigger the GPU.

    My query is:

    1. If I use the motherboard port (built-in Intel HD 630), will it trigger the NVIDIA GPU automatically? - Doing so does not allow me to access NVIDIA control panel, actually. (Warning appears: You are not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU)

    2. If I plug in my monitor in the GPU port, will Intel HD 630 remain ideal forever? This seems to be the case because when I do this, there are no Intel Graphics Setting options available.

    3. Of course as running a desktop no need to worry about power, but if I only want to browse the internet and watch movies, can I switch back-and-forth between these GPUs?

    Thanks much,

    Sahaj.

Unable to detect Intel Graphics 630 drivers

    Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that Intel HD Graphics 630 drivers are not getting detected on your computer.

As you have mentioned that you get an error no compatible device found when trying to update driver, I would suggest you to check if there is any hidden device for Intel HD Graphics 630 in the Device Manager. Refer the steps mentioned below:

    1. Press Windows key + R. This will open
Run. Alternatively, you can go to Start and search for Run.
    2. In Run dialog box, type devmgmt.msc and hit
      Enter.
    3. Click on View and click on
      Show hidden devices
      .
    4. Go to Display adapters and expand it.
    5. Now, check if Intel HD Graphics driver is listed as
      greyed out device.
    6. If you see the Intel HD Graphics driver, right click on the driver and select Update Driver.
    7. Restart the PC.

I would also suggest you to check in BIOS if the option for Integrated Graphics is disabled. If the option is disabled, I would suggest you to enable and check.

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems
resulting from the configuring of BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Modifications of the settings are at your own risk.

Let us know how it goes.
