    I reserved the upgrade from win 7 to win 10
    now I don't want to download it anymore (I keep on having the boot.wim issue)
    is there a way to prevent the upgrade?

    As I mentioned, there are deviations from your instructions:

    1) Apparently there is no need to re-enable Windows Update service as it is running after the reboot regardless of what the customer wants.

    2) When I run WUSHOWHIDE I am not seeing Version "1709 Feature Update" or similar. Only a couple of driver updates. I'm not sure if WUSHOWHIDE updates its list of updates as 1709 appears or if I have to continue to re-run the program to have the scan find
    1709 but trying both ways I have not seen 1709 Feature Update as of yet.
