Windows 10: How reminder work for Recurring task

hi every body,

i get so confused on how MS todo reminder work ?

i have several task that repeating everyday , but after some day the reminder do not notify me and the reminder item change to grey color.

for example a task that repeat every day at 3pm, the reminder get disable.



after complete the task the new task will generate automatically for tomorrow but the reminder will be disable too.


what's the problem ?

Problems with recurring tasks in task list

I have an issue with recurring tasks: They don't seem to work as expected. This is how I can repeat the problem:.

Go to task list, create a new task, and select a recurrance pattern (say, once a week) from "Occurs" field. The "Due" field correctly gets locked at this point. From "reminder" field, choose "remind me". Then a date appears in the next field for reminder date,
which is *Still* changeable. This should not be the case because we cannot have a fixed date of reminder for recurring tasks. This is the first problem.

Then save the task and re-open it. The "Due" field, which was previously locked, is enabled again. If this is the expected behavior, then what is the point of locking it whenever the "occurs" field it re-set for recurrance? And why is there a different behavior
of locking for "Due" date and "Reminder" date?

Third, and worse, problem is that the reminder does not work at the stipulated time ("Reminder" date would be a day in the past if this is a recurring task which was created some time ago, and first occurance is already passed. I don't think I'm supposed to
change the date manually every time the task occurs). Am i doing something wrong here?

I'm using WM6 on O2 XDA Zinc.

The dates that are given are for the FIRST occurance of the task. As it goes to each future tast, the date will adjust accordingly.



You are given the choice for the reminder date in case you want to set the reminder to a different time. Once st, it to will be changed as the next appointment comes.

I can only assume that this happens to give you the opportunity to adjust the Date if it is neccesary. As for the reminder date, I again would assume that the developer decided that it would guide you through setting up the task easier.

Again, the date that is set is for the FIRST occurance. Future occurances should be adjusted automatically.

 

Cortana recurring reminders borked?


Anyone else's Cortana recurring reminders not working? This worked fine in v1709 but now borked in v1803 it seems.

I have one reminder set to go off at 22:30 daily. This has stopped working after the v1803 update.

So deleted and recreated this reminder, it then worked, but only once and did not remind me the following day or thereafter *Mad How can simple things like this get messed up?!?
