Windows 10: How should IP be configured for 2 NICS one Internal one External.

    How should IP be configured for 2 NICS one Internal one External.


    I'm a little confused here. I watched a few videos and they were being configured a couple different ways.

    Tried doing a little reading and I came up with the following


    Internal

    10.1.0.X

    255.255.255.0 sub

    blank

    DNS

    1.1.1.1

    2.2.2.2


    External

    10.1.1.x

    255.255.0.0 sub

    1.1.1.1 gateway

    DNS

    blank

    blank


    I have seen videos where the subnet is the same 255.255.255.0 and ips are in the 10.1.1.X range on both NICS.

    multple nics - this configuration no longer works

    Original title: multple nics

    I installed 2 NICs and a wireless adaptor on windows 7,8 and 8.1 and things worked ok

    1 - wireless to my office printers - separate domain for security (DHCP)

    2 - nic primary domain network (fixed address)

    3 - nic for separate surveillance and ip phone network. (fixed address)

    I just installed windows 10 and this configuration no longer works -why? How can I fix? third party routing software?

    How to configure Port Forwarding?

    HI,

    My router gets different IP addresses. Dynamic DNS is enabled.

    I have to configure port forwarding in my router. While configuring port forwarding, I need to fill following details:

    • Internal IP
    • Internal Port
    • Remote IP
    • External Port
    • Protocol (TCP/UDP)

    Please guide me to configure Port Forwarding in my router.

    How should IP be configured for 2 NICS one Internal one External.

    port 25565 is open on my external ip but not on internal ip

    Port 25565 is open on the external IP but closed on the internal IP so I can't start a Minecraft server. The server opens when I put in the domain but it doesn't open on other networks. Does anyone know how to fix this?
