Windows 10: How to access Windows 10 without PIN

Hi,I have locked myself out of a laptop. The machine is set up using my Microsoft account, the login prompt has my profile picture and logging into the website on a different machine shows that this laptop is registered, it is connected to the internet and shows on the location map. When I set up this laptop years ago I logged in with my account to associate it- but I forgot the pin and security questions that I enrolled at the time, assuming that I will always be able to use my Microsoft account password, which I did in the beginning using it. At some point I enrolled my fingerprint for faste

Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Remove items from Quick access.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps.

• Right click on the file or folder.
• Select the option “unpin from the quick access”

To pin items to an item already on the quick access bar.

Follow the below steps.

I would suggest you to create folder in the desktop screen & place all the files or folder which need to pin to the quick access.

• Open the quick access.
• Select the Desktop option.
• Right click on the folder & select the option “pin to quick access”

What you originally posted below was from a jump list instead of Quick access that you just now posted above. Did you unpin the folder from within Quick access instead of a jump list? *Confused
