Windows 10: How to activate windows 10 license key?

So, on my old PC, I had Windows 10 Pro, and the Settings app > Update & Security > Activation said, "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account." Now I have a new PC and would like to activate Windows 10 Pro, but I can't figure out how.I read that only one PC at a time can have Windows OS if you have a license, so I signed off my Microsoft account from my old PC, but my new PC doesn't link. I used the same Microsoft account when starting windows on my new PC.My new PC is connected to my Microsoft account Devices.I checked and made sure I had the Reta

I'll revert back to windows 7 then.

When I still was on windows 7, about a year ago I added 4GB extra ram which is a total of 8GB now,
is that causing the problem?

Wait...I upgraded from a legal/activated copy of 7 to 10. The only license key I have for 10 is actually for 7. I don't actually have a license key for 10. I suppose I don't need one since it's tied to my hardware. But...oh never mind. I guess I have no point. *Oops!
