Windows 10: how to add a second account to a new laptop

Hello, I recently purchased a new laptop with Windows 11. I went through the setup process identifying myself as the administrator and assigning my device login pin. After setup was complete, I realized that it didn't ask if I would have other users needing access to this device to sign-in using their own pin. On my previous laptop, I setup my wife as another user having her own unique sign pin.How can I add her as another user on my new with her own device login pin?Looking forward to your response.Thanks for the help.

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

To change the Account type follow the steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X, click on User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on change your account type.
  
• 
  Select standard account.
  

To delete the account follow the steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X, click on User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on Manage other Account.
  
• 
  Select the user account.
  
• 
  Click on Delete the account.
  

To create the new user account follow the steps.

• 
  Press Windows + X, click on User Accounts.
  
• 
  Click on Manage other Account.
  
• 
  Click on Add A new user in PC setting.

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.

Is it advisable/useful to have a second (full) Administrator account?

Firstly, I should say that someone suggested this Forum to me and it's one of the most useful things that I have come across on the Internet!
I read somewhere that one way to safeguard your system is to create a second Administrator account in addition to the one that is built-in in Windows, so that should there be a problem with the "original" Administrator account you would use the second one to restore the first one.
If this is indeed advisable, what are the steps to do it? I presume that I should password-protect the second Administrator account.
Would I have the second Administrator account always enabled and the original Administrator account always disabled?
