Windows 10: How to add Microsoft into MS Authenticator after Authenticator lost its data on iPhone reset?

I backed up, reset, restored my iPhone. The MS Authenticator lost all its data. Have re-established some of it, but can't figure out how to add Microsoft for 2FA login. Any suggestions?

Moving from an iPhone to an iPhone - my google Authentator app moved the account and the codes across perfectly.

The Microsoft Authenticator app commenced the backup recovery process and then tells me the Microsoft account on phone 1, which has a backup via iCloud is not an account that phone 2 can use

It brings across all passwords via the Microsoft Authenticator App, but all the timed application codes are not brought into the app on the phone 2

How to manage MS Authenticator app on iphone for password access.

Thank you for your reply.

I've read through the link, but it confused me more.

I have now found the solution. As there weren't any settings to change in the MS Authenticator web browser, and I could'nt log in to MS Authenticator on my iphone, I ended up finding the solution in the password options on the iphone where i could unselect Authenticator from allowing to fill in the form.

Settings/Passwords/Password Options/Allow filling form/ untick Authenticator.
