Windows 10: How to add vrami have 16gb ram

I am trying to play ark survival ascended on steam and it says ‘not enough video memory’. I have 16gb of ram and i am on a gaming laptop with an integrated graphics card intelr UHD Graphics and a dedicated graphics card nividia geforce RTX 3050Ti laptop GPU. In display adaptor properties it says it is connected to the intel uhd graphics and the dedicated video memory is only 128 mb . I have tried to change it through BIOS but i cannot find it in BIOS. I have tried disabling intel uhd graphics but it sets to microsoft by default. I also have set Nvidia control pannel to the nvidia graphi

16GB RAM only 8GB usable on Windows 10 x64

have 16GB of RAM installed on my computer, but only 8GB is usable. I am running Windows 10 x64. I have tried the following steps to fix this issue, but they have not worked:

1. I have updated the BIOS to the latest version.
   
2. I have tried reseating the RAM modules.
   
3. I have tried using different RAM modules.
   
4. I have tried run-MSConfig
   

I am still not able to use all 16GB of RAM. Any suggestions?

16gb ram vs 32gb ram Upgrade

8 GB's is what I would tell everybody to have as a minimum. For gamer or power user, I suggest going to 16GB of RAM. 32GB or more RAM I usually only see for people who are running lots of VM's, databases, or high end rendering type applications.

for sure. Th 1866 support will come from the IMC on the CPU, and the board will support 16GB easily. Check the motherboard manufacturer compatibility listing to be totally certain the brand of RAM will work.

Many additional brands will work, but have not been tested to make their list, so you'd be on your own if not on the list.
