  1. How to add widgets (with customizable options like resizing) on the desktop in Windows 10?

I have finally upgraded myself to windows 10 from windows 7 after using the former partially. The greatest thing I loved windows 7 apart from speed, quickness, or no installation of unasked apps or software like candy crush saga, was of widgets or applets or desktop gadgets. I searched in the settings and also online (via bing) but couldn't find an option on how to add widgets with customizable options like resizing, reshaping, variety, color, and settings on the desktop in Windows 10. I did find Rainmeter helpful but not that much since I couldn't resize them as I used to in 7. So please can you guys tell me is there any windows self-made widgets sets and if not, then what can I use instead while also not affecting my system speed and performance? Thanks for your inputs.

How to disable the windows resize widget.

    Hi Carl,

The resizing widget on your screen isn't part of Windows 10, so it's possible that it's showing up due to a third-party program. We'd like to learn more about your concern so that we could provide the proper resolution. We just have a few questions for you:

    • What is the make and model of your device?
    • Did you make any changes to your computer before this started happening?

As an initial recommendation, we suggest performing a clean boot to find out if this behavior is caused
by a third-party program. This will load Windows with minimal drivers and programs, preventing software conflicts from occurring. If the widget doesn't appear in a clean boot environment, check the section How to determine what is causing
the problem by performing a clean boot
    for what to do next.

Note: To return your computer back to normal, check the section How to reset the computer to start normally after clean boot troubleshooting.

Additionally, we've found similar threads where this happens with Dell devices. If your computer was manufactured by Dell, check if you have an app called
Dell Premier Color. If you have this app, follow these steps:

    • If you can see this app icon in the taskbar or the system tray, right-click it and choose
      Disable Display Splitter.
    • If it's not in your taskbar or system tray, launch the app from the Start menu.
    • Click Advanced in the upper right corner.
    • On the left panel, click Display Splitter.
    • Uncheck Display Splitter on.

If your computer was manufactured by MSI, this happens when Desktop Partition is enabled in the
True Color app. To disable it, follow these steps:

    • Launch the True Color app from the Start menu.
    • Go to the Tools tab.
    • Disable the Desktop Partition On option.

We look forward to your response and the results of the initial troubleshooting.

  3. Resizing widgets in Belle?

According to Nokia sources and articles for example on Thenokiablog.com, widgets in Belle are resizable. But I have Belle now on my C6-01 and all I can do is move widgets around on my screen but not resize them?

For a widget like the calendar that is very bad because there is only 1 line vissible with 1 time in it. Calender widget is has become totally useless because it's way and way to small but it can not be resized?

Also the time is WAY to big there and also can not be resized?

Recommended desktop calendar widget for Windows?

I use Todo Agenda on my Android phone, which is a widget that you can add to your home screen that brings together various calendars into one list (color-coded).Is there anything similar for Windows 10?I would like it on my desktop, similar to a sticky note or a weather widget, rather than a full program/app.
