Windows 10: how to arrange hidden icons on desktop.

Hello humans of r/Windows10 looking for some help on a project that I haven't been able to figure out. I've gotten a VBS File from my friend to show/hide hidden items. So. Ive hidden my shortcuts to exes and put the VBS On my desktop so when i launch it, it shows and hides my hidden shortcuts. here is the problem. every time i unhide the shortcuts it resets my shortcuts back to alphabetical order. Anyone know how to rearrange them permanently?

here is the VBS If anyone is wondering but i dont think its the issue:

• Right-click on your desktop > Click View.

Note: If you want to manually arrange your desktop icons uncheck Auto arrange icons
then drag your icons depending on where you want to place them on your desktop. If you want your icons to be aligned to the grid, check
Align icons to grid.

I would suggest you to try the steps and check if it helps.

a) Right click on Desktop.

b) Click on View.

c) Uncheck both "Arrange icons to grid" and "Auto arrange icons".

d) Restart the computer and check if it helps.
