You may need a video card (GPU) in a virtual machine for tasks like OpenGL, Direct3D, and CUDA. In that case, we usually use an emulated video card, which is not as good of a performer as a dedicated GP. Therefore, in this post, we will learn how to attach a physical video card to a […]

  2. Move Hyper-V VM Without Reactivating?

According to this (How do I avoid needing to activate Windows when I move a VM? [Hyper-V]) link it is possible to move a Hyper V VM to a new host without having to reactivate the guest OS by exporting
it and importing it. Are there any additional steps I should know about or is it as simple as find the export and then import (on the new host) options/buttons?

Read Smart Card from Hyper-V Guest

We are using Windows 10 as a Hyper-V guest, and have Windows 10 as a Hyper-V Guest.

There is a standard Smart Card reader attached to the physical host(omnikey card reader) , but we can not get the smart card to be read from the Hyper-V Guest.

Does anybody have any experience or success with such a configuration?

We have updated driver on both host and guest, still can not get the smart card to be read from the guest.

How to attach a physical video card to a VM on a Hyper-V host

Hyper-V with OpenVPN on Host Machine

    Hi All,

I'm running Windows 10 Build 10565 with Hyper-V role. My PC(Host Machine) has an assigned IP with MAC binding, and a data limit. So I use OpenVPN with IPv6 to get unlimited access to the Internet(through a VPS remotely). That's to say, I have a physical
Network Card and a Virtual Network Card(TAP-V9 by OpenVPN) before the Hyper-V installed. When I launched a VM, I could not get access to the Internet on it(running Win7) in any configuration of virtual NIC. Besides, if I set the Virtual NIC with the physical
network card in external mode, it would also break the OpenVPN access. So how do I config the Hyper-V Virtual NIC to get it work?

    Any Advise would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
