    How to attach additional HDD Which is having data without data loss in running vm


    Dear All,I have two hdd's in one hdd having os, in second hdd having data.I have added os hdd in hyper v and it is running without any issue. But in another hdd having around 100gb data but am not able to add without data loss. If i add under scsi hdd or normal hdd it is not reflecting directly and it is asking for format. Can anyone suggest how to attach data hdd without losing data in hyper_vThanks,Raju

    Data Loss on RAID

    I have PC at work with 2 160 GB hdd working in RAID 1. The customer brought the PC here complaining that the hdd is not visible in windows (meaning the raid). We found out that PCI slot in which the RAID card was inserted it is not working. I have moved the PCI card in to another PCI slot and the card was detected. The computer booted in windows and warned about broken raid and wanted to rebuild it. And I let it. After one hour of rebuilding the RAID partition was visible in windows. The problem is there are 2 months of missing data. I tried some software for data recovery but it is not recovering anything valuable. My guess is that the RAID was broken some time ago so when the raid was rebuild data was copied from older hdd to the newer. And because of RAID rebuild all data sector by sector was copied from hdd to hdd the missing data is rewritten with new data so data recovery software is useless.
    I have connected the raid drives one by one and run data recovery software and nothing comeup.
    I`m out of ideas what to do. If some one has an idea please write it.

    RAW Hard Drive Data Loss

    Windows 10 1909 x64

    So I had mounting a Hard Drive to VMware and access the drive through VMware. One day I tried to access the data on the drive and Windows detected the drive as a Raw drive and I had know idea what do so I looked online and people suggested running chkdsk /r so I did and after that it fixed the drive but now it says the drive is completely empty there is nothing on the drive. So I download Recuva and checked to see if the data is there and there are lots of files but i am unable to tell what everything is. Is there a way to rebuild this back to normal and recover the data on the drive or am I sol? Thanks for the help. I have at included the output of chkdsk, Recuva screenshot, and Windows Explorer.
