  1. How to authenticate Windows after a hardware upgrade

I upgraded my hardware on my personal PC. When I try to activate windows, it gives me an error code of 0x8007232B and explains that as "we can't connect to you organizations activation server". As I said, this is a personal PC and it is Windows 10 Home, not an organization. Any thoughts? Thanks.

is hardware OK (Win 7) for upgrade to windows 10

I think in one of the other PC with win 7 or win 8.1 I run media creators tools and in some step prompt/found graphics card not supported... for win 10. I didn't found alone reading specs of win 10, but the tool says me... after changed graphics card the tool said all OK and continued OK with upgrade... That I ask to reach this step in this current PC - win 7 - must be all OK for the upgrade? Or must continue to upgrade to show this?
    and got to point

    • UPGRADE this PC now
    • Create media(DVD, USB stick, ISO)
is hardware OK (Win 7) for an upgrade to windows 10 for this PC???

Windows 7 virtual wifi authentication mode

    Hello.

Just a quick question to whoever is using windows 7 virtual wifi capability - when you type in "netsh wlan show hostednetwork", cmd window displays a list of settings for your hosted virtual wifi.

I was wondering, is there a way to change authentication method from WPA2-Personal to simple WEP ?

    Cheers.

  4. How to authenticate Windows after a hardware upgrade

Hardware Upgrade prevents Windows 10 Authentication

    Hi everyone,

I upgraded the motherboard, cpu, ram and added some fast storage to my PC. I bought Windows 10 3 years ago on a much older hardware spec.

After the upgrade I was able to boot back into windows, but after a few minutes I saw an 'authenticate windows' stamp in the lower right hand part of the screen.

I checked under Activation and my product key was there (the last few digits showed there) and it said that it could not authenticate my windows.

I tried repeatedly to use the troubleshooter and also clicked the 'changed hardware' option - nothing worked. I tried calling, and couldn't find the right part in the menus to address this.

Basically: I purchased Windows 10 3 years ago and now after a hardware upgrade Activation keeps pointing me to buy another copy on the Store.

Question: Do I honestly have to pay another USD 200 to buy Windows 10 when I bought it just 3 years ago, and because I did a hardware overhaul? I hope not - and, if not - can anyone please help me figure out how to make this work? I just formatted all my
drives and did a clean install and the authenticated Windows 10 Pro is no longer associated with my account.
