How to Block specific Sources from MSN NewsFeed

There seem to be lots of LOCKED discussions with no answers on how to BLOCK specific news sources from the MSN News app. This may be because so many people ask "How do I block so-and-so?" which is a clearly biased question when you're identifying your bias. So, maybe they're locked due to that. But, here's how:1 Open msn.com, sign in and select "News".2 Then select "Following" at the HomeFollowing tab. The tab is along the top under the Search window.2 In the window full of articles that appears, locate an article from the offending news source. Hover your mouse over the window which w

Why is MSN newsfeed showing only conservative news sources?

    Hi AMC467,

    I'm Amr, an independent advisor.

Thank you for bringing this up, your concerns are totally understandable

Just to avoid any misunderstanding, please note this is an open forum for user-to-user support. Staff members of Microsoft Support do not manage this forum. Everybody here is assisting one another. Users of this forum are not employees of Microsoft, and we have no influence on its policies, operations, or data.

Back to this matter, just a glance at my newsfeed (see the attached photo) you can see there are multiple resources of news including Reuters, and if I scroll a little bit I will see another article from AP.

So MSN news is from a wide range of sources and they do not offer news from specific sources to serve the interests of some party.

In addition, if you don't like a source you can block it easily, just press the three dots on the up right and select Block xxx. (see the attached photo)

If you still believe the issue persists, please report it directly to Microsoft through the Feedback Hub app

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/sen...

I hope this is helpful. If you require any additional assistance, don't hesitate to respond to this.

This is a user-to-user support forum. We're users just like you helping other users to find solutions to their problems.

    Best Regard

    Amr

  3. Why doesn't Microsoft News feed actually honor request to block news sources????

Using a Surface Pro-7 with Windows 11 and the latest updates and Edge Version 103.0.1264.37 (Official build) (64-bit).

Microsoft doesn't seem capable of blocking the news sources I have requested to block. If I select "Hide Larry Brown Sports" or "Hide <pick any news source>", I get a message that the task is done and I can, in fact, see the news sources listed in my Settings under Blocked Sources. HOWEVER, my newsfeed continues to display topics from these blocked news sources. If I refresh the screen, they will usually go away, but why, oh why, can't you get it right the first time I open Edge?

  4. How to Block specific Sources from MSN NewsFeed

How do I remove MSN newsfeed from edge startup?

I've just upgraded to W10 and although I've set BBC as my default homepage, when I open Microsoft edge it automatically goes to MSN newsfeed. How do I stop this happening?
