Windows 10: How to cancel acceptance of MS's recommended option for best energy efficiency in Windows 11?

My Acer tc885 desktop has become very slow to start-up recently. This is despite having a small SSD designed to speed the process up, not much on the hard drive and my running utilities to clean up potential problems. Also, I can only turn the computer off now by holding down the power button or by turning off the fast start option in the power section of settings. The recommended option is to turn fast start on which seems to suggest a conflict with the best energy efficiency recommendation. I suspect accepting the recommendation in the question may be the cause of this and I would like to

This issue might occur due to some corruption in the power setting or may be due to any third party applications

Method 1:Let’s run Power troubleshooter.

The power troubleshooter can automatically detect and fix any incorrect power settings. Refer to these steps to run this troubleshooter:

  Select settings in the drop down menu below search and type
  Troubleshooting.

  Click on Troubleshooting and select the view all option on the left pane.

  Click on Power troubleshooter and follow the prompts.
  

If issue persist, I suggest you to try method 2.



Method 2:

I suggest you to try booting the system in Safe Mode and check if it helps.

Cancel Windows 11 upgrade in process

Windows 11 upgrade was accidentally accepted during an aggressive urging.

Now still in Windows 10, but at the "Accept License Terms for Windows 11" stage in Windows Update. There is not a "cancel upgrade" choice, but Windows 10 is desired.

The choice is either to proceed with the Upgrade by accepting the License Terms, or to close the window. If you close the window, the choice remains and no other updates seem to be processed.

How can this be cancelled? Also there are many unwanted popups.
