    How to Capture Drop Down Menus using Snipping Tool


    I followed the steps below to try to make a sreenshot of a drop down menu, without success. I was using Disk Management utility in Windows 11 Pro and right-clicking in the unallocated space on a disk drive. I got a drop down menu, but it does not stay active when I try to use Snipping Tool.I read one could use Snipping Tool to capture such drop downs using these steps:1 Load Snipping Tool.2 Press Escape.3 Open the app and invoke the drop down menu.4 Press Control and PrintScreen simultaneously to cause Snipping Tool to provide the means to capture the area of the screen or the whol

    Hi,

    Upon checking on your concern, we have found a suggestion that may help you take a screenshot of the dropdown menu using the Snipping tool. Please follow the steps below:

    • Launch Snipping tool.
    • Right-click the menu you wish to take a screenshot.
    • Press CTRL + Fn+ Print Scrn.
    • Once you've already taken the print screen of the menu, you may try using the snipping tool and check if it will be able to capture the drop down menu.

    Snipping Tool has various options on how you can capture images in your computer. To change it to normal snipping, follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows + S to open Search Box.
    • Type Snipping Tool, then click it.
    • Click New.
    • Click the drop-down menu in New.
    • Select Rectangular Snip.
