Windows 11 will not cast to my 50" ONN. Roku TV.

I have 2 laptops and 1 desktop running Windows 11. None of them can cast to my ONN. Roku TV. I have tried that disable firewall solution to not avail. The only firewall I have running is Windows Defender and it is set to always allow displays. I have even tried turning Defender off to no avail. Windows 11 sees all my other SMART TVs, but not this one. It even sees my Roku stick in the den. All my Android Devices have no issue casting to the ONN. Roku.

When I first got the TV, Windows 11 was able to cast to it, but lost the connection identifier when I turned it off, and I would have to reboot the computer to re-establish. Now...nothing.

Everything is on the same router and the TV is visible when I look at connected devices in Windows 11 Networking. Router reboot also has not worked

casting to Roku TV stopped working

Have you previously cast that source to the Roku? One possible reason for that is an incompatible source video.

Also try to power cycle the Roku and see if it works after that.

Roku casting however isn't really a Windows issue. Its Roku or the application casting to it. Not really the OS especially if everything else for internet & networking is working fine in Windows.

Its obviously connecting so the Roku is only having an inability to fully stream the source video/audio. That can be the source, the application casting code, or something with or related to the Roku itself. That will be the likely area where the problem is.

Depending on what you're casting there are potential other issues including permissions of source files, encrypted connection of NAS source, etc. that can all cause the casting device to act this way.
