Windows 10: How to change an library from 'read only'

The title might require some explanation. I was planning on downloading some mods for one game or the other, but the mod doesn't work. I began troubleshooting and even consulted a decent amount of forums, aaaaand... After going down the list of possibilities, I discovered that the problem lies with the file I want to change being set to 'read only'.

THAT unveiled a whole other series of problems. Despite doing everything- Changing permissions to the entire drive, taking windows ransom protection off and changing a bunch of other features- I simply cannot get the library off of 'read only'. The only option I had was change it through Powershell, but that doesn't seem to work for entire libraries, only individual files. So, I require help with any more wierd options that you might have.

Delete a Library in Windows 10

I would suggest you to restore the Libraries and then try deleting the Library folder.

Map a network drive folder to my video library

To Include folders using Manage Library Tools, we suggest that you perform the steps below:

• In File Explorer, select or open a library (ex: Videos) you want to include a folder or drive to.
• Click on the Library Tools Manage tab, and click on the Manage library button in the ribbon.
• Click on the Add button
• Browse to and select a folder or drive that you want to include in this library, and click on the Include folder button.
• When finished, click/tap on OK.
