Windows 10: How to change brightness automatically when lighting changes

Hi there, I want to turn off the 'Change brightness automatically when lighting changes' function but do not have thecheck box. How can I do this? Thanks, Lesley

Hi,

Changing the screen brightness on your laptop can be adjusted by going to
System > Display where you can use the slider to adjust the brightness. If your PC supports, you may also let Windows to automatically adjust the screen brightness according to the current lighting condition by enabling
Change brightness automatically when lighting changes.

If you've already the tried the suggestions above but the screen brightness still doesn't change, then we suggest updating the display drivers. Please see

Update drivers in Windows 10 for the steps on how to update the drivers.

Brightness automatically changes going from dark to light UI...

I do not. But yes, it's really changing.

I've tried that / Can't get to it, there is no option? See 1 & 1a

So more testing... The screen-capture didn't capture the brightness change, but as you can see from my cell phone video it's happening...

What does that mean if it can't pick it up internally? Weird...

I also found this and noticed that there's a display checkbox missing from my AMD Catalyst control center.

please try this and let me know if helps

Select Start , choose Settings , then select System > Display. Under Brightness and color, move the Change brightness slider to adjust the brightness.

note:Some PCs can let Windows automatically adjust screen brightness based on the current lighting conditions. To find out if your PC supports this, in Display settings, under Brightness and color, look for the Change brightness automatically when lighting
changes check box, and then select it to use this feature. This automatic setting helps make sure your screen is readable wherever you go. Even if you use it, you can still move the Change brightness slider to fine-tune the brightness level.
