Windows 10: How to Change C drive from dynamic to basic disk.

I was trying to run BitLocker on a Lenovo Legion and when it tried to encrypt it, it gave me an error only saying "This drive can not be encrypted." Upon further research I found that the C drive on my machine was a dynamic disk, and that BitLocker doesn't work for dynamic disks. I have tried every solution I could find online to try and convert the disk to basic but none of them worked.

Convert Basic Disk into Dynamic Disk

im out of space on my Driver C (disk 0) which is a dynamic Disk i want to be able to extend the volume by shrinking some space from the disk 1 (basic disk) but the problem is that i am not able to convert disk 1 into a dynamic disk (even though there is
53.4% of free space in it).

ive tried several methods i found online but non of them works

i own a MSI laptop operated by Windows 10

Hi Etor. I'm Greg, an installation specialist and 9 year Windows MVP, here to help you.

You must have somehow set the hard drive to Dynamic which is meant to span a partition over several hard drives. This can happen if you try to create more than four Primary Partitions on an MBR format hard drive, and ignore the warning in Disk Mgmt that
it will convert to Dynamic.

You should also still be able to access the data while the drive is connected as a data drive and you're not trying to start Windows on it. Then you could copy the data off and wipe the drive to clear the Dynamic formatting.
