    How to change default epub loader


    When I tried to load a .epub file from edge it asked me what app to load it on along with a do not ask again box or something along those lines. I chose Word and ticked the box, but now I want to change what app I download .epub files onto. How can I do this?

    How is this helpful?

    It is not a problem for an app from Store.

    Edge comes pre installed. I am having the same problem.

    .epub files are automatically associated to be opened with a different software. I want to change it to Edge and I am not able to because Edge is not in the list. I tried changing the defaults for .epub and Edge is not an option.

    You can read .ePub files in Microsoft Edge so long as they are not protected. The latest Windows 10 build brings EPUB file format support to Edge, allowing users to read their favorite EPUB books directly in the browser. To resolve your concern,
    we suggest that you associate the file type to Edge as well. To do this, please follow the steps below:

    • Type Control Panel in the Search bar and press Enter.
    • Type Default Programs in the Control Panel Search bar.

    • Click the Default Programs and select Associate a file type or protocol with a program option.

    • Double-click the .ePub file type.
