    I want to change the default language of Windows 11, having it in German, is quite annoying. I want to turn it into English US, eliminating all the German leftovers

    On this thread, somebody has my identical need.

    Up there, I read the suggestion of "Time Lady" that stated

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Nls\Language Find Default & change this to 0409 Which is the language code for English US, then do an in-place repair by running the media creation tool & choosing to upgrade now.

    My question is:

    with the in-place repair she's suggesting, my windows installation will be totally resetted? Or just a"""repaired"?

    On my machine I have several applications, I wouldn't want to be obliged to re-install everything. It will be dramatic!

    I purchased a new Dell computer and purchased Windows 11. I've uploaded it, but now all the menus are in German. I found instructions in English on how to change the language, but everything is in German so I can't follow the instructions. Help!
