Windows 10: How to change device name when casting from PC to Samsung TV?

For some reason when casting my screen from my laptop to the TV instead of casting as the device name it comes up as my name from my Microsoft account, is there a way to change this?

The other similar thread to this says 'Cast to' used to work to a Samsung TV but now it doesn't. This would imply something is 'wrong' with our Win 10?

Can anyone suggest some more troubleshooting steps to try to determine what the issue is?

 

Cast-to-Device Function on Windows 10 PC no longer working

I am trying to cast video from my primary PC to my TV (Samsung Smart TV). When I select cast-to-device, no devices are listed and it searches for devices but does not find any. Under devices, the PC shows the Samsung TV device but it is grayed out.
On another PC, it does show the TV under devices and it is active (not grayed out). At one point, casting worked on my primary PC but stopped at some point. All my PCs and the TV are connected to my home network. The TV and secondary PC have a direct connection
into the network (wall jack which goes to switch and then cable modem.) The primary PC is a bit different in that the connection goes from the PC to a wireless router n from the wireless router to the wall jack... Strange because it worked before.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very helpful.

Cannot Cast to TV, Questionable casting VIA different software/hardwar

Currently trying to cast my desktop of anything to my Samsung TV.

Details of hardware/software that I have tried with limited success, mostly failure
Plex
Playon
Chrome Browser
Connect VIA Windows 10
Steamlink
Roku (mulitple)

I have been able to cast to roku VIA playon, No success with Plex opening on Chrome or Firefox.
Chrome browser only lets me cast youtube, no desktop mode, and says unavaliable for casting (Even browser)
Connect VIA PC, only gives a few monitors to cast to , that is it.
I have checked TV settings and all seems fine. (as far as I see)
TV lists on other devices on PC. And all devices are on same network.

Goal.
Trying to bypass Steam and Steamlink to show my desktop on the Samsung TV.
