Windows 10: How to change DOMAIN password when no security dialog is available?

As an IT administrator you want people to have the option to change their password when it expires. I started seeing this maybe around 6 months ago on a users computer. When this particular user password expires, I have to change it for them because CTRL-ALT-DEL does not work for them. That's on Windows 10.As for myself, I recently installed Windows 11 to start getting used to it. I've been getting prompted for the past couple of days to change my password. I do the CTRL-ALT-DEL and I see no security dialog come up. So this morning I do some research and see that for security reasons

Trouble Changing Wi-Fi Password


I've been following the following steps to change my Wi-Fi password for some time:

1. Launch Control Panel.
2. Click "Network and Internet."
3. Click "Network and Sharing Center."
4. Click "Wi-Fi...."
5. Click "Wireless Properties."
6. Click the Security tab.
7. Check "Show characters."
8. Enter the password in "Network security key."

Those steps have been working just fine, but today I discovered a new wrinkle. If I change the password inside the router first, "Wi-Fi..." doesn't appear in step 4. This isn't much of a problem at home, because I can just change the password in Control Panel before I change it inside the router, but it would be a problem at a public hotspot, or something of that nature. I also tested Brink's instructions in "How to Connect To a Wireless Network in Windows 10," but they don't work for me either. How can I fix this?

To isolate your concern, please answer these questions:

• Are you using a Microsoft account when you log in to your computer?
• Is it the same as the account that's in the Mail app?

Depending on your domain, you may need to look into the configuration of the Outlook so it will not ask you to provide your password every time you use it.

We also suggest that you change the password stored in your Outlook each time your domain password is changed.
