Windows 10: how to change file names from lower case to upper case in windows 11

When saving file name with all CAPS and "_" to separate words, it will convert. all letters after first character to lowercase, I want the whole file name to be in CAPS. Thanks,Bill P

Hello,

I have the need to convert lower case folder names to upper case in Windows 10 File Explorer on a Surface Pro 3. I found a few on line. Does anyone have experience with a free one that you would recommend? Thanks!

 

unable to name files with a capital and lower case if same name

in windows 7 i could have a file that was same name if one was upper case and other was lower case, in windows 10 can not have a file named the same A1 or a1 , is there a setting that controls this?

Thank you for your response.

I decided to answer your question before testing the apps that you kindly offered.

I have an album music collection and wish to convert some of the album titles from a mix of upper and lower case letters to all upper case. There are about 200 album titles that I wish to convert out of a larger group of albums. These albums are scattered
about in File Explorer. I wish to do this so I can quickly find certain albums.

I am not familiar with Powershell or scripting.
