Windows 10: How to change from DVD disc to USB disc?

When I inserted a blank CD to my pc I was presented two options, using it as DVD or as USB device, I choosed USB wrongly as I intended to use it as DVD, is there a way to alternate between both options?

CD/DVD not seeing disc

Thanks for the effort is helping to correct my problem.

Device manager say: Hardware is functioning properly.

Drivers says they are up to date.

In computer link says nothing is in CD/DVD, Asking to open and it says Put disc in when it is there... I don't hear or feel CD/DVD getting to speed. I tried all 3 steps suggested with no results, or changes.

your concern, we recommend that you follow these steps on how to save files to a disc or DVD. To do this, follow the steps below:

• Insert a blank DVD into the optical drive and close the drive.
  
• Open File Explorer, then double-click the drive icon to open the
  Burn a Disc window.
• Type a title for your disc, then select Like a USB flash drive or
  With a CD/DVD player, depending on how you want to use the disc.
  
  
  
  
  
• If you select Like a USB flash drive, the files copy to the disc.
  
  Note: You can save, edit and delete files on the disc many times, but the disc might not work in other computers and devices.
  
• Click Next in the Burn a disc
  window.
• Drag files to this folder to add them to the disc message displays.
• When all files are copied, you can eject the disc.
• If you select With a CD/DVD player, the files are burned to the disc.
  
  Note: These files cannot be edited or removed from the disc, but the disc can be used on most computers
• Click Next in the Burn a disc window. The disc formatting process begins.
• Drag files to this folder to add them to the disc message displays.
• Navigate to the files, select them, then drag them to the drive icon.
• The files display in a Files Ready to Be Written to the disc window.
• Right-click the empty area, then select Burn a disc.
• In the Prepare the disc window, type the disc title, select the recording speed, then click
  Next.
• When the burn process is complete, a You have successfully burned your files to the disc windows opens. Click
  Finish to close the window.

Yes, you can put it on the CD or DVD. A recovery drive (USB) or system repair disc (CD or DVD) can be used to troubleshoot and restore your computer.

For you to be able to create it, we suggest following the steps below:

• Insert the disc in the drive.
  
• Open Cortana, type in "recdisc" and click it.
  
  
• The disc creator will open, select the disc-burner drive with a writable CD or DVD in it and click the
  Create disc button.
  
  
  
• Once the process is complete, click OK
