Windows 10: How to change hardware and use old license ?

Hello My old hardware failed and I can not use it that is why I try to move my windows 11 pro license to new hardware which is purchased from Microsoft site BUT 1. I can not do it. activation fails 2. I can not contact support because I am in Armenia and Armenian phones are not listed in Microsoft to get any support Can anyone help me to contact support or find a way to contact support from Armenia to get help with Activation and find out why Armenian phones are not supported in Microsoft ?

Uninstall (delete, remove) the Windows 10 digital license from old hardware, after reactivating it on new (similar) hardware, after hardware change

Hi,

I recently was able to reactivate my Windows 10 digital license on new (only on similar, same type laptop to laptop) hardware, by linking my Microsoft account. I followed the steps mentoned in

Reactivating Windows 10 after a hardware change .

I find that the old hardware, still has an activated digital license of Windows.

I need to uninstall the digital license from the old hardware, in such a way that it will not activate, on its own, and will not invalidate the digital license on my new hardware, at all.

Please advice me, as I would like to transfer my digital license to my new hardware, completely, and permanently. I require my old hardware to not be having the digital license, at all, and the digital license to be completely deleted from it.

 

Changing windows 10 license after hardware change

Hello,

I've read that article before, but now once I go to "hardware changed", my old computer linked doesnt show up anymore. If I go to my browser to "devices", and if I press "remove device", will I get given back the windows 10 license or will it be gone? All
I want is to transfer the license on the other old shown device in the "device" list on the browser to be transfered to my new device.

I will try toto contact the live support later today with screenshots.

Unable to activate Windows after hardware change

Hi,

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Community Forums.

Usually the error code 0xC004F213 comes when there is a hardware change done on the computer (like Motherboard or Hard drive). The Windows license is associated with the device hardware. If there is any significant hardware changes, such as replacing
motherboard or hard drive, Windows won’t be able to recognize the license.

I suggest you to try the troubleshooting steps from the article
Reactivating Windows 10 after a hardware change and see if Windows gets activated.

If you are using an OEM computer that came with Windows 7, and the motherboard has not been changed, then you can follow the steps to retrieve the product key that came with your OEM computer. To retrieve the product key follow the steps mentioned
below:

1. Type Command prompt in the search bar, that is on the taskbar.
   
2. Right click on Command prompt icon and select Run as administrator.
   
3. Type the command and press on Enter: wmic path SoftwareLicensingService get OA3xOriginalProductKey
   
4. You will find the product key.
